Rector
Rev. George O. Master II
The Rev. George Master has been at Good Shepherd Church since October 2019. Before graduating from Yale Divinity School and becoming ordained as an Episcopal priest, Fr. George served in the Navy; earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts; and had a career as a Real Estate broker in New York. He retired from full-time parish ministry in late 2018, after serving for 31 years in parishes in New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania. Serving Good Shepherd on a half-time basis allows him to continue his ministries as a Volunteer Police Chaplain with the Philadelphia Police Department’s 12th district and as a Volunteer Chaplain with the Seamen’s Church Institute of New York and New Jersey. Fr. George was also a Volunteer Chaplain for 25 years at the Phoenix State (formerly Graterford State) Correctional Institution.

History
Good Shepherd began in 1953 when 22 people gathered in a local home to worship and pray. Today, our congregation is a diverse blend of backgrounds and ages who are brought together by the desire to serve and worship Christ. Our goal is mutual acceptance, respect, and helping each other to live and grow in Christ's love.
While we are an Episcopal church, most people from Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Evangelical backgrounds feel comfortable with Good Shepherd's worship style. In a unique way, we offer liturgical worship with Holy Eucharist including a biblically inspired sermon in a relaxed manner.
